WIMBA wound spacers are 3D-printed from high-quality TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) and serve to protect wounds and surgical sites from pressure. They offer a modern, hygienic alternative to the homemade fabric-based disposable products often used for this purpose.
These wound spacers are designed for repeated use within a single patient's treatment cycle. They are washable and can therefore be reused for that specific patient.
The open lattice structure keeps the wound ventilated and holds dressings and bandages away from the wound surface, distributing pressure onto the surrounding healthy tissue.
This spacer consists of a flat, rectangular frame. With a height of 13 mm, it and its larger counterpart are the lowest-profile products in the series.
